TATE MODERN: BOY THROWN FROM 10th FLOOR
BBC News reports, a 6-year-old boy has been thrown from the 10th floor of the Tate Modern in London. The 6-year-old landed on the fifth-floor roof and was airlifted to hospital. He is said to be in critical condition. The child was on the viewing platform of the famous gallery when he was thrown. A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder police confirmed. There is nothing to suggest the victim and suspect know each other.

DERBYSHIRE DAM: 31 RESIDENTS REFUSING TO EVACUATE
The Guardian reports local Derby police have said around 31 people in 22 homes in Whaley Bridge are refusing to evacuate their homes putting their lives at serious risk. Local police called the refusal to evacuate was “disappointing” and added if the dam does collapse people will die if they choose to stay in the evacuation zone.
On Sunday, police officially stopped letting residents go back to their homes to collect essential items such as medication that had been left behind after the emergency evacuation. Police made the decision to stop letting residents briefly return after some residents had refused to leave once back in their homes.

RISE IN HATE CRIMES IN REGION AFFECTED BY ANTI-LGBT+ PROTESTS
The Independent reports, a 50 per cent increase in hate crimes in a region that was directly affected by anti-LGBT+ protests in just one year. One of the schools directly at the centre of the row over equality lessons has reported “homophobic” footage and far-right “Islamophobic” mail to the police.
The figures come after months of protests from parents and campaigners based outside two schools in Birmingham over the age-appropriateness of LGBT+ lessons. As soon as the school started receiving complaints about the lessons there was a dramatic rise in hate crimes. The figures measure hate crimes from youths aged 17 and under.

HEATHROW: MONDAY’S STRIKE CALLED OFF
Monday’s Heathrow strike has been suspended last-minute reports The Sun. According to the paper, despite the strike being called off to allow further discussions, industrial action could start on Tuesday. Unite Union members were due to walk off the job at 1 minute past midnight for 48 hours. The airport had been forced to cancel 177 flights over Monday and Tuesday, however, the disruption would have been far greater if Monday’s strike had gone ahead.

MALAYSIA: LONDON TEEN GOES MISSING WHILST ON FAMILY HOLIDAY
Sky News reports, 15-year-old Londoner Nora Quoirin has been reported missing whilst on a family holiday in Malaysia. Her parents reportedly discovered she was not in her resort room on Sunday morning and noticed her window was open. Sniffer dogs have been brought in to help in the search for the teen. Sources say it’s out of character for Nora to wander off. Nora is described as having learning difficulties.
