It is likely that the President will have sealed a deal with UK before that, however the US President’s trip to the UK in September ‘will be shrouded with some degree of protest.’
Buckingham Palace previously only said the state visit to the UK would happen “when diaries allow”, but Mr Trump told reporters on Thursday: “I think they are setting a date for September.”
“I don’t know how it can be bigger than the last one,” he said.
Labour MPs already eager to please
“It’s hugely exciting. I very much hope that President Trump does come to the UK in September and meets the Royal Family and meets the Prime Minister.” said Labour MP Josh Simons on Donald Trump’s possible visit to the UK this September.
