Trump challenges Biden to debates ‘anytime’ after Super Tuesday wins
Donald Trump has issued a challenge to Joe Biden for televised debates as the two contenders head towards a potential rematch for the White House, following their victories in the Super Tuesday votes.
The Republican said he is willing to participate in a televised forum with the Democratic president “anytime, anywhere, anyplace.”
In response, Biden’s campaign characterised Trump as “thirsty for attention and struggling to expand his appeal.”
As of now, no debates have been agreed upon leading up to the November election.
Trump’s challenge came shortly after his last Republican rival, Nikki Haley, withdrew from the race to become the Republican nominee for the White House.
“It is important, for the Good of our Country, that Joe Biden and I Debate Issues that are so vital to America, and the American People,” Trump posted on his social media website, Truth Social, hours after Haley departed from the race.
