Tom Hiddleston is back for another season of The Night Manager.
The actor will reprise his role as protagonist Jonathan Pine, starring in a second outing of John le Carré adaptation’s for Amazon Prime Video and the BBC.
It’s believed that season 2 will film later this year in both London and South America, but details are being kept under wraps for now, with the project under the codename Steelworks.
Also back for season 2 will be writer David Farr, who penned the original instalment.
According to Deadline, while a second season is yet to be formally greenlit by Amazon and the BBC, the well-loved show is set to receive a two-season order.
The outlet adds that the second run of The Ink Factory’s adaptation is understood to be set in the present day.

‘Following British arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie) being taken away by the Syrians at the end of Season 1, Hiddleston’s Pine is informed he is dead two years later, and he has to face up to a new, even more deadly challenge,’ the publication reports.
News of another season will surely be exciting for fans, who have been desperate for confirmation of another run since season 1 of The Night Manager concluded in 2016.
Following Pine, an ex-British soldier, as he was hired by an intelligence officer as a covert operative, the show went on to win two Emmys and three Golden Globes.

Pine was tasked with infiltrating the inner circle of Roper, a secret arms dealer and also his lover’s killer.
The first season also boasted a starry cast, also comprising of Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, Elizabeth Debicki, and David Harewood.
British actor Hiddleston’s acting CV is already very impressive, with The Night Manager only adding to a glowing resume.
He first gained international fame as Loki in Thor, a role he reprised across a number of Marvel films and his own Disney+ series – the second of which will land later this year.
Hiddleston also recently starred in The Essex Serpent on Apple TV, and his next role is Henry Worsley the Antarctic explorer in The White Darkness.

As for his personal life, things are going pretty swimmingly on that front too, as Hiddleston recently became a dad.
In October, rumours surfaced that Zawe Ashton had given birth to her first child with fiancé Hiddleston, after debuting a baby bump at the premiere of her movie, Mr Malcom’s List.
