The Voice Kids UK viewers were left flabbergasted after young hopeful Olga was sent home without a single coach turning their chair for her, with many insisting she was ‘robbed’.
The new series of ITV’s talent competition kicked off on Monday evening with Pixie Lott, Danny Jones and will.i.am back as judges alongside new coach Ronan Keating, while Emma Willis returned as host.
One contestant, 11-year-old Olga, particularly touched viewers’ hearts as she stood out from the crowd, donning a set of elf ears for her audition on the Christmas edition simply because she ‘likes to be different’.
After arriving on-stage, the pre-teen wowed the audience with a stirring and haunting version of Beyonce’s hit single Crazy In Love, leaving many convinced her powerful performance would be enough to entice at least one judge to hit the buzzer and turn their chair.
However, Olga’s performance ended without a single coach making a bid to take her under their wing, despite some encouraging words from Ronan about her individuality.
Viewers were fuming at the missed opportunity and took to social media to express their disappointment.

‘Olga has been the best so far and nobody turned? Madness,’ one viewer tweeted.
Another stated: ‘Elf girl was robbed, they diana vickers’d her. No sob story, not rich = lose,’ referring to X Factor contestant Diana Vickers.
One outraged viewer said: ‘Olga was robbed.’
‘They missed out on Olga! She will be a star,’ one agreed.
Another chimed in: ‘Wished they’d have turned for her. Love her individuality. She had a great voice too.’
Praising Olga’s unique song choice, one other tweeted: ‘Little elf! #Olga Love the arrangement Now that’s an audition well done.’
One said: ‘Hey Ronan! I hope you reached out to Olga after the show #TheVoiceKidsUK – She is a readymade star!’
The winner of this year’s series will be crowned on Wednesday and scoop a luxury trip to Disney World Orlando.
The Voice Kids UK continues on Tuesday at 9pm on ITV1.
