WTX News brings you the latest on the Partygate scandal – the political scandal dominating the UK, which regards the prime minister and other MPs and Tory staff holding parties during the Covid-19 lockdowns in 2020 and 2021, when rules prohibited most gatherings.
The scandal has been investigated by Sue Gray – who led an independent inquiry as well as the Metropolitain Police who are also investigating. The Met Police have started to issue fines for the breach of rules, prime minister Boris Johnson and chancellor Rishi Sunak were both fined for breaking Covid laws.
With this fine, Boris Johnson became the first serving British PM to knowingly break the law.

Partygate is a political scandal in the United Kingdom, regarding parties and other gatherings of government and Conservative Party staff held during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, when public health restrictions prohibited most gatherings.
