Sunday is predicted to be the hottest day of the year so far
The Metro says Weather forecasters have some bad news for fans of traditional British bank holidays, who love desperately barbecuing under an umbrella as rain soaks their flip-flops.
It’s looking like the upcoming long weekend could actually be fairly pleasant for most of the UK, with T-shirt weather across much of the country.
There’s even a chance Sunday will be the hottest day of 2023 so far, with the mercury rising as high as 24C.
That would break the current record of 23.3C, set only last Sunday in the lovely Welsh coastal town of Porthmadog.
Southern Wales and England are likely to be the main beneficiaries of the warmer elements of the weather again this weekend, with temperatures predicted to sit comfortably in the low twenties.
