Sir Anthony Hopkins has found a way to keep busy with his ‘free time’ and posted a hilarious video recreating Thing, the severed hand from Wednesday.
The 84-year-old stunned fans of the Netflix series with a black and white video of his impression of Thing, after the Addams Family spin-off series’ roaring success.
The Tim Burton series stars Jenny Ortega as the titular character, with Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzman as Gomez and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley.
Meanwhile, magician and illusionist Victor Dorobantu plays severed hand Thing, which Sir Anthony recreated in his video.
‘Happy Wednesday. THING happens when an actor has free time on his hands,’ the two-time Academy Award winner wrote.
With some convincing makeup to look like stitches across the hand, the video showed Sir Anthony’s hand playing the piano and ‘walking’ along to the original The Addams Family theme song.

Another penned: ‘DON’T FREAKIN’ DO THAT!!! You had me going for all of 10 sec… Happy holidays to you and your family!! That’s why you’re the MASTER OF ACTING.’
Speaking about bringing the famous hand to life, Victor told Netflix: ‘Nobody knew how to do it.’

He added that he and director Tim ‘came up with ideas together’, including the hand’s tricks and the fact he was carried around by a dolly for quick movement.
‘We started from zero. Literally zero.’
