Sex offender Larry Nassar repeatedly stabbed in prison fight
Larry Nassar – the former US national gymnastics team doctor, has been stabbed at least 10 times in a Florida prison.
Nassar is serving up to 175 years for sexually assaulting athletes and possession of child pornography.
He was attacked on Sunday by a fellow inmate, and is reported to be in a stable condition in hospital.
It has been reported that he was stabbed twice in the neck, twice in the back and six times in the chest. He reportedly suffered a collapsed lung.
Hundreds of victims came forward about the former doctor. Olympic gold medallists Simone Biles, Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney all testified about surviving Nassar’s abuse.
Nassar admitted to sexually assaulting athletes while he worked with the USA Gymnastics programme and Michigan State University, where he ran a clinic.
