The Independent – Russell Brand accused of rape, sexual assault and abuse

The Independent’s front page leads with a large image of Russell Brand – a screenshot from the denial video he published on his YouTube channel ahead of the release of the expose and documentary. 

The paper notes the Brand has denied the allegations made against him by the women. 

The front page also reports on an exclusive scandal over prisoners – saying there are record numbers of people being held in jail for five years before their trial.
