Rishi Sunak is the right man for the right time
Daily Express says At last, the psychodrama is over. A sense of calm finally appears to have descended on the Tory party. After the destructive turmoil of Liz Truss’s brief but ruinous premiership, Britain now has a Prime Minister who is undoubtedly up to the job in terms of intellectual calibre, grasp of policy and strength of character.
It is fortunate for both his party and our country that Rishi Sunak has been given a second chance so soon, following his defeat by Truss in the summer leadership battle.
That was a contest he did not deserve to lose, given his superiority as a communicator over her and the greater realism of plans for government.
