Imran Khan holds talks Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince in Jeddah

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Jeddah today, to hold talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Prime Minister was greeted by Governer of Makkah Khalid Al-Faisal, who is also the  Advisor to the Saudi king,  along with the Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Assaf and Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Al-Maliki, welcomed the Pakistani prime minister as he landed in the country.

PM Imran and the Saudi leadership are expected to discuss “the various dimensions of the grave situation in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, arising from India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019”, a statement from the PM office read.

“The Prime Minister has been in regular contact on the Kashmir issue with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman,” it noted, adding that since the last visit of MbS in February, earlier this year, “there is growing momentum in Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations in all areas of cooperation”.

The premier was also expected to discuss with the Kingdom’s rulers “ways of further strengthening the economic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia”.
