Pink Floyd member Roger Waters has angered fans by dressing up as a Nazi SS officer while on stage in Berlin.

Performing at the Mercedes-Benz Arena last week, the musician, 79, wore a costume featuring crossed hammer imagery.

It’s the same that was worn by the fictitious neo-Nazi organisation in the 1982 film Pink Floyd: The Wall.

He also displayed the names of deceased figures on the screen, including Holocaust victim Anne Frank.

Next to Frank, however, was Abu Akleh, an Al Jazeera journalist who was fatally shot last year.

What’s more, the band’s frontman hung Third Reich-style banners above him.

Instead of swastikas, they featured crossed hammers.

It’s said that Germany’s Orthodox Jewish rabbinical association is now calling for a ban on Waters performing in their country.

The rocker has continued to deny that he is Antisemitic, though.

Taking to Twitter after the performance, social media users called his actions out.

Reps for Roger Waters have been contacted for comment.

    More to come.

He also compared a deceased Al Jazeera journalist to Holocaust victim Anne Frank.
