Riots have broken out in Paris after a teenage driver was shot dead by police in the suburb of Nanterre.
The incident was videoed on Tuesday after the youth – who is from an Algerian background – allegedly broke traffic rules.
Anger erupted across the French capital, with violent demonstrations leading to 24 arrests by this morning already.
Nael’s devastated mother, who asked not to be named, said: ‘I lost a 17-year-old, I was alone with him, and they took my baby away from me.
‘He was still a child, he needed his mother.’
