Miley Cyrus’ latest social media post has some fans convinced she’s worked with Selena Gomez on new music.
It all began yesterday when both Miley, 30, and Selena, 31, announced that they were going to be bringing out new music within an hour of each other.
Miley revealed that she would be releasing a song called Used To Be Young on August 25.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘This song is dedicated to my loyal fans. I love YOU for loving every version of ME. Always, Miley’.
On the very same date, Selena will be releasing Single Soon.
‘Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer,’ she shared.

So Selena and Miley both announced new songs on August 17, and both those said songs are coming out on August 25.
This could all be purely coincidental, but then Miley fanned the flames of a possible collaboration with a tweet.
She penned: ‘@selenagomez and I are both dropping our new SINGLEs SOON….. I SAY WE #USEDTOBEYOUNG’ in response to a fan who noticed the timings.
Alongside the snappy comment, she gave us all pure nostalgia with a Disney channel clip. Selena once appeared on Miley’s show Hannah Montana, and the pair gave Oscar-winning level performances in a comical scene.
‘What would you like to give?’ Hannah (Miley’s popstar alter-ego on the show) asked Selena during a phone-in fundraiser.
‘I’d like to give you singing lessons. I just heard your new single. Ouch.’
The pair continued to fire insults at each other with Selena calling Hannah a ‘has-been’, and Hannah quickly responding with ‘never-was’.
They may both need some water on those burns!
Fans quickly summarised that this tweet could mean that the pair have worked together on music.
‘COLLAB OMG??’ wrote one person. ‘Collab wait,’ chimed in another.
One fan enquired: ‘OMG. Are both of you are the same song or different song?’
Another person was basically inside our brain: ‘WHAT DOES IT MEAN AAAAHHHHH’
Even if we are being treated to two separate songs, rather than a collaboration it is lovely to see women supporting women!
