Meghan Markle no longer has to abide by royal wardrobe protocol and we have to say, it looks good on her.
The Duchess of Sussex was a vision in gold as she accepted a Woman of Vision Award at the Ms Foundation Gala in New York on Tuesday night.
She cut a very chic figure as she hit the podium in the Johanna Ortiz cut-out strapless dress, accepting the award from the United States’ oldest women’s foundation.
Meghan team the ‘Ideal Universe’ dress (which is sadly no longer available to buy) with strappy gold Tom Ford heels, a small gold clutch and gold J.Crew hoop earrings.
She’s been given this award for ‘her global advocacy to empower and advocate on behalf of women and girls’, thanks to work she’s been able to do with her husband, Prince Harry, through their Archewell Foundation.

The foundation was, according to its 2022 report, able to help close to 175,000 refugees from Ukraine and Afghanistan resettle in the US with partner organisation Welcome.US. It also helped build a play area for the young residents of Uvalde, Texas in the wake of a devastating 2022 school shooting that killed 19 children and two teachers.
Also honoured at the ceremony were Black Voters Matter co-founder LaTosha Brown, co-founder of Dr. Shalon’s Maternal Action Project Wanda Irving, executive director of URGE Kimberly Inez McGuire, LGBTQ+ advocate Rebekah Bruesehoff, and abortion rights activist Olivia Julianna.
In a statement, Ms. Foundation president and CEO Teresa C. Younger said: ‘Meghan, LaTosha, Wanda, Kimberly, Olivia, and Rebekah are incredible leaders
‘We are grateful to be able to shine a light on their many accomplishments and tireless work on behalf of gender and racial equity across the country and the world.’
