Margot Robbie is proving once again that she was the only real choice to play Barbie.
The Australian star, 33, takes on the role of the iconic Mattel doll in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, set for release this month and easily one of the most anticipated films of the year.
Barbie boasts an absolutely jaw-dropping cast of major A-listers, with Margot joined by Ryan Gosling as Ken, as well as the likes of Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, Issa Rae, Ncuti Gatwa, Rhea Perlman, America Ferrerra, Dua Lipa and more.
But like the slogan of the film (She’s everything – he’s just Ken), all eyes were on Margot at the premiere in London on Wednesday evening.
The star dressed up to the nines for the Leicester Square premiere – or in this case, up to the 1960s – as she graced the pink carpet in a real-life, classic Barbie dress.
In 1960, Mattel introduced the Enchanted Evening Barbie, which saw the doll dressed in a pale pink, floor-length evening gown with a thick white fur collar.

Margot completely transformed into the classic image, right down to the pearl necklace, elegant up-do – and a trail flowing behind her, carefully managed by those in her wake.
Looking absolutely spectacular – and knowing it – Margot beamed for cameras as she posed alongside her Ken, with Ryan dressed in a pale green suit and a shirt collar several buttons wide.
Some of the major names gathered for a group photo, with Ryan and Margot joined by Will, Simu, America, Issa and director Greta, each giving a wild smile.
(Apart from Ryan, who was practicing his dramatic staring-off-into-the0disstance look.)

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know there are major music names offering tracks for the soundtrack of Barbie – from Ice Spice, Nicki Minaj and Billie Eilish and Sam Smith.
And Wednesday brought Sam to the pink carpet at Leicester Square, as the pop star dressed down so casually they made a statement.
Sam appeared on the carpet in a majorly oversized grey sweater and pale jeans, absolutely swamped by the size of the outfit.
They gazed easily into the cameras as they stood for snaps, at one point reaching their arms out to show their fingers just poking out from beneath the swathes of material.

The European premiere comes as London transformed into a pink paradise in celebration of the film.
On Wednesday morning, fans were shocked to see a bright pink Tardis nestled in by Tower Bridge in the capital – a nod to Ncuti Gatwa’s role in the film as he prepares to take on the role of the Doctor.
We’ve also had pink double-decker busses with Margot and Ryan’s face plastered across them, along with massive billboards plastered across the city.
Warner Bros. Discovery U.K. & Ireland marketing SVP Alexandra Lewis revealed: ‘Barbie is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year and we’re proud to be partnering with Visit London to create a unique cultural moment for the film: turning the city pink!
‘We’re thrilled to be able to provide the general public with a chance to celebrate the film’s upcoming release in such a fun way and visit iconic landmarks in what will surely be a night to remember.’
Barbie hits cinemas on July 21.
