Love Island star AJ Bunker has opened up about the health scare she had during her holiday in Sri Lanka.
The TV personality, 30, who was one of the contestants in the 2021 series, shared her horrific ordeal on Instagram while ringing in the new year.
AJ – real name Andrea Jane – apologised to her 112K followers over the lack of content on her feed.
‘Happy New Year you beauties. Sorry for being so quiet,’ she penned.
‘I became really ill when I got back from Sri Lanka. To the point where I had to go to urgent care. Since then I’ve been focusing on getting 100% better.
She added: ‘Whilst catching up with my family/friends, I’m finally feeling better & will be back to posting. Wishing you all the happiest new year & all the best for 2023! All my love.’

During her stint on the annual dating show, AJ tried to strike up a romance with fellow islander Hugo Hammond before being dumped from the villa.
Unfortunately, the star has been unlucky in finding love and has lost any hope she had left after her recent romance revelation.
The former hair extension technician revealed how she took a vow of celibacy for two years but began dating a man who left crucial details about what he did for a living.

‘My romantic life is dead and I actually just found out the last guy I dated does gay porn. So yeah,’ AJ said.
She added to OK! Magazine: ‘The first guy I broke my celibacy to does gay porn, so that’s my life.’

AJ explained that she decided to abstain from sex as she was ‘done with f**k boys’ and wanted to find a ‘genuine connection with someone’.
The TV star revealed: ‘Then this guy lied to me about his job, lied to me about his car. He doesn’t even have a licence.
‘I have lost faith in men. Love Island didn’t help at all because I didn’t find a connection there and ever since the show I haven’t met anyone.’
