Loose Women star Brenda Edwards has reportedly signed up to Strictly Come Dancing.
The X Factor star, 54, is said to be a ‘dream signing’ and has a ‘huge fanbase’ supporting her to the very end.
She’ll be following in the likes of her co-stars who have taken to the ballroom floor in previous years, including Kaye Adams.
The 60-year-old was up against last year’s champion Hamza Yassin, who took home the glitterball trophy with partner Jowita Pryzstal after fierce competition from Helen Skelton and Fleur East.
A source said: ‘Brenda is a dream signing. She has a huge fanbase from Loose Women and the talent to go all the way.’
The insider added to The Mirror: ‘She also has a very emotional backstory – the nation adores Brenda.’

Brenda’s been supported by the nation over the past difficult year after the death of her son Jamal, who died in February 2022 aged 31.
Speaking about her grief, she recently said: ‘It might be outside while I’m walking and one minute I’m fine and then the next I’m in tears.
‘There’s no rhyme or reason as to how grief affects me, I’ve not got a manual for how to grieve. And so if I want to cry, then I’m going to cry.’
She continued to The Sun: ‘I’m trying to do what I can to continue Jamal’s legacy and a massive part of what he wanted to do was to help young people, to give them a voice, the confidence and something to believe in.’

The rumours come after it was reported Brenda’s Loose Women co-star Sophie Morgan could also be a part of this year’s line-up, and make history in the process as the show’s first ever wheelchair-using contestant.
The TV presenter was left paralyzed aged 18 after suffering a T6 spinal cord injury in 2003 when she was involved in a car accident.
A source had previously said: ‘She already has a huge fan base from Loose Women and is a huge advocate of using her platform to promote inclusivity.
‘It’s still very early stages and the crew will officially start on pre-production in the coming months.’
The insider added to The Sun that Sophie is ‘very glamorous’ and would look incredible in the sequins and glitter.

This comes after Rose Ayling-Ellis made history as the show’s first ever deaf contestant, winning the 2021 series with Giovanni Pernice, while paralympian Ellie Simmonds scored great success during her stint on the show last season with Nikita Kuzmin.
Other stars who are tipped to be participating in Strictly this year include former Love Island star Zara McDermott, former EastEnders star Nigel Harman and Jade Goody’s son, EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year.
