    The UN Security Council will convene Monday afternoon for an emergency closed door meeting on Syria in the aftermath of president Bashar al-Assad’s flight from the country. The emergency session had been requested by Russia, Moscow’s deputy ambassador to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said in a post on Telegram Sunday. Follow our liveblog for the latest developments.
