Les Dennis has reportedly signed up to Strictly Come Dancing, thrilling BBC bosses in the process.
The Family Fortunes star, 69, is rumoured to be a part of this year’s line-up, with the likes of Thomas Skinner and Jill Scott also predicted to be announced.
Last year saw Hamza Yassin take home the glitterball trophy with partner Jowita Pryzstal, after fierce competition from Helen Skelton and Fleur East.
And now it’s been claimed Les thinks he’s in for a shot.
One insider said: ‘The viewers are going to love Les.
‘He is a TV icon and now he will be dancing on one of the most popular shows around.’
The insider continued to The Mail on Sunday: ‘He might be about to turn 70 but he is a showman and he will be great entertainment for those watching at home.

‘There is genuine excitement about Les taking part.’
Les, who was previously married to Amanda Holden, is no stranger to dancing, as he currently stars in West End production 42nd Street on tour.
The Celebrity Big Brother star is said to be joining Angela Rippon, who will be the oldest contestant ever.
The 78-year-old has been reported to be a part of the line-up, 25 years after she first hosted the competition.
‘It is such a coup to get Angela. She was Mrs Come Dancing, so what a wonderful thing that she is going to be on Strictly all these years later,’ a source previously told The Mail on Sunday.

‘She is the dream signing. The audience at home will love her, and many of them will remember her from her days hosting the show in its previous incarnation.’
They continued: ‘It is incredible that someone of her age is doing it but she loves dancing and the bosses think that she will be a joy to watch.’
Other stars who are tipped to be participating in Strictly this year include former Love Island star Zara McDermott, former EastEnders star Nigel Harman and Jade Goody’s son, EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year.
