Sunday Express – Labour’s £225 council tax bombshell 

The Sunday Express leads with a new think tank report which suggests that Labour’s plan to improve trade union rights could add £225-a-year to the average council tax bill. 

The paper carries an exclusive about Angela Rayner’s reported plan to “strengthen the hand of unions within the first 100 days” of her party winning power. The paper cites a “report” as warning the proposal could “cost the average household an extra £225 a year in council tax”.
