Kerry Katona fights back tears as she reflects on her anger and fears (Picture: E4)
Kerry Katona fought back tears on The Big Celebrity Detox as she voiced her fear of death, and leaving her children behind.
The mum-of-five admitted she worries about dying after her ex-husband George Kay died aged 39.
The former rugby league player died in 2019 from an accidental cocaine overdose, after the pair were together for three years until their 2017 divorce.
Kerry shared daughter Dylan-Jorge, who was born in 2014, with Kay, and is also mum to two children from her marriage to Mark Croft, and two from her first marriage to Brian McFadden.
During Tuesday’s episode of the E4 series, which stars the likes of Megan Barton-Hanson and Homes Under The Hammers’ Martin Roberts, Kerry opened up about her fears.
She tearfully admitted: ‘I’m angry my husband died. I’m angry he died and just left his daughter – really angry about that.’

The Atomic Kitten singer continued: ‘There’s a lot of s**t I’ve been through, I think, since my husband died, he was only 39, I’ve got this massive fear of death.
‘I keep thinking I’m going to die, and I get dead scared, and I keep thinking I can’t leave my kids.
‘They’re my everything.’
After Kay’s death, Kerry bravely opened up about their relationship, alleging her third husband threatened to rape her and saying she felt a huge sense of ‘shame’ at being a victim of domestic abuse during their relationship.

She’s recently revealed that her fiancé Ryan Mahoney will be adopting Dylan, nicknamed DJ, who doesn’t remember her biological father anymore.
She explained: ‘For now, we are going through the adoption papers for Ryan to adopt DJ as I found out she wanted to call him Dad.
‘She doesn’t remember her biological father, George, so I think if it’s something she wants to do, then that’s completely up to her.’
The Big Celebrity Detox continues on E4 on Wednesday at 9pm.
