Comedian Josh Widdicombe has given his two cents on a viral moment between England stars Bukayo Saka and David Beckham, and it’s not exactly warm and cuddly.
The former Manchester United superstar shared a cute moment with current England squad member Saka this week when he visited the England team’s training grounds.
Despite being a legendary footballer himself, with England ready to face off against France in the quarter-finals this Saturday, Saka was visibly starstruck to meet Beckham.
In a moment caught on video, Saka nervously approached Beckham on the field and sheepishly asked for a photograph, to which he dutifully obliged.
While plenty of people went wild for the cute interaction, there remains controversy around Victoria Beckham’s husband’s involvement as Qatar ambassador.
He is believed to have signed a multi-million dollar deal with the country despite its human rights abuses, homosexuality being illegal, and the deaths of migrant workers who built the infrastructure for the tournament.

It led to comedian Joe Lycett pretending to shred £10,000 as the footballer did not respond to his pleas to back out of the deal, as well as other celebrities coming out to voice their disappointment with the LA Galaxy player.
Now, on Friday’s episode of The Last Leg, comedian Widdicombe gave his opinion on the footballer.
After the show aired the cute clip of Baka asking Beckham for a photo, he said drily: ‘He should have asked him “How do you sleep at night?”‘

Later in the show, the panelists revealed their choices for 2022’s D*ck of the Year award, and at first it appeared Josh was ready to take another dig at Beckham.
He said his nomination was ‘previously a hero to millions and represented everything good about football,’ but has since taken millions from Qatar.
However he then revealed his nomination was the World Cup mascot, La’heeb – to which Carr asked: ‘What is that, is that the ghost of dead migrant workers?’
