The i newspaper – Johnson made it impossible for UK to tackle Covid, top adviser says 

The i lead on the COVID-19 inquiry which heard on Monday from Cabinet Secretary Simon Case. The newspaper reports he told the hearing that Boris Johnson made it “impossible” to deal with the pandemic and was unable to lead. 

The front page of the paper also covers the rescue of an Israeli soldier from Gaza. She is the first known hostage to be rescued by Israel since the war began. She was freed in an overnight ground operation.
