John Cena will wrestle his first WWE match in well over a year when he returns to SmackDown on January 30.
The 16-time world champion and Hollywood megastar will get back in the ring to keep his epic record alive of having a match every single year since his debut in 2002.
As revealed in shocking scenes at the end of Friday Night SmackDown this week, Cena will team up with former rival Kevin Owens to take on Sami Zayn and the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Cena made the announcement himself as he appeared unadvertised via a video link to the delight of the crowd and revealed he’ll be KO’s partner for the blockbuster bout in two weeks.
‘I haven’t had a match in 2022 and we’re running out of chances,’ he teased.
