Iran’s Supreme Leader Relocates to Bunker Amid US Navy Presence: Latest News
    ### Iran’s Leader Moves to Bunker Amid US Threats

The leader of Iran has been moved into a high-security underground shelter as fears of a US attack loom. This decision comes as senior military officials have warned of a heightened risk of US attacks as protests persist across the country, and Ali Khamenei’s forces continue killing Iranians.

The bunker is believed to protect the leader in wartime scenarios, and his third son, Masoud, has taken over management of his father’s day-to-day activities as the Ayatollah shelters from potential attack. Late last week, Donald Trump said that the US is moving warships toward Iran ‘just in case’ he decides to take action.

US Military Presence in the Region

‘We have a massive fleet heading in that direction, and maybe we won’t have to use it,’ Trump stated. A US Navy official noted that the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and other accompanying warships are currently located in the Indian Ocean.

Rising Tensions Between Iran and the US

Tension remains high between Iran and the US in the wake of a bloody crackdown on protests that began on December 28, triggered by the collapse of Iran’s currency, the rial. US President Donald Trump has repeatedly warned Tehran, setting two red lines for the use of military force: the killing of peaceful demonstrators and the mass execution of people arrested during the protests.

Although Iran halted the execution of 800 people detained in the protests, Trump is still furious over how Khamenei has managed the situation. Recently, an Iranian official warned that any attack from the US would lead to ‘all-out war’ as Donald Trump sends an ‘armada’ to the country.

    Iranian Response to Potential Attacks

The Iranian official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters, ‘This time we will treat any attack – limited, unlimited, surgical, kinetic, whatever they call it – as an all-out war against us, and we will respond in the hardest way possible to settle this.’

‘If the Americans violate Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, we will respond. This military build-up – we hope it is not intended for real confrontation – but our military is ready for the worst-case scenario. This is why everything is on high alert in Iran.’

Iran issued a chilling threat to President Trump live on state TV, declaring ‘this time, the bullet won’t miss’ with footage of the failed assassination attempt against him in 2024.
