Get you up to speed: Iran ‘calls Trump‘s bluff’ as it denies negotiating with the US

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that new talks to wind down the war in Iran will commence on August 3, following a decision to refrain from initiating large-scale military strikes. This development comes amid ongoing tensions, with Iran appearing unyielding to previous strategies.

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that negotiations aimed at reducing hostilities with Iran will commence on August 3. The current diplomatic efforts come amid a history of similar announcements, which have often followed threats of military action, highlighting the ongoing volatility in US-Iran relations.

U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that new talks to de-escalate the conflict with Iran will commence on August 3, while refraining from implementing previously threatened military strikes. This announcement follows a pattern of aggressive rhetoric, but Iran’s apparent resistance suggests a complex diplomatic landscape ahead.

What remains unclear — It is uncertain how Iran will respond to the new talks scheduled for August 3 and how the erratic Trump will react.

U.S. President Donald Trump said new talks to wind down the war in Iran will start on August 3, after announcing he is holding off on new massive strikes he had threatened to unleash on the country.

This is not a one-time occurrence: Trump has regularly announced ongoing talks after threatening aggressive strikes on Iran.

But this time, Iran seems to not have given into the strategy. The cost to the US is greater than Iran; leaving the US is in a delicate position, losing billions every day.

Last week President Donald Trump said Saturday that the United States and Israel had agreed to hold off on new strikes on Iran – provided a deal to end the months-long conflict is “rapidly” reached. Iran’s acting defence minister said his country would “neither ‌be caught off guard nor remain passive” in the face of new US threats.
