A Palestinian was killed and at least 15 others were wounded by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF)’ gunfire on the Gaza border overnight, according to the Ministry of Health.
“A citizen (26 years) was martyred as a result of being shot in the abdomen in the northern Gaza Strip,” the ministry said in a brief statement.
It added that “15 civilians were wounded, including five children, one of whom is in a serious condition.”
WTX & Sawt Asharq journalists said that protests erupted in several places along the border.
The IOF fired live and rubber bullets and tear gas canisters, according to protesters.
Two weeks ago, Palestinian factions began organizing demonstrations aiming to demand the lifting of the fifteen-year-old Israeli Occupation siege on the Gaza Strip and to allow its reconstruction, according to a Hamas official.
