I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! viewers were quick to notice Ant McPartlin’s ‘dig’ at Matt Hancock, as the host seemed to point out the former health secretary’s job.
So far on the series, Ant and Declan Donnelly have been throwing in as many government jokes as they can, making cheeky digs at Rishi Sunak, and even comparing Westminster to ‘snakes’.
But on Saturday’s episode, viewers branded Ant ‘naughty’ after reminding Hancock he is a ‘sitting MP’.
Ahead of his fourth bushtucker trial, alongside Owen Warner, Ant and Dec explained: ‘Now this of course, is the jungle’s version of the legendary TV show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? But unfortunately for you two, there’s no cash up for grabs today – but there are 11 stars!’
Ant continued by explaining the rules and how many stars the pair could get, before Dec warned the ‘audience’ not to cheat.
Ant then asked what they were like with quizzes, telling Matt: ‘Surely you must know a lot, being a sitting MP?’

‘I can do history, I can do politics,’ he replied.
Viewers picked up on Ant’s comments, with one writing: ‘Bit of shade there emphasising sitting MP.’
Someone else wrote: ‘Nice little dig by Ant and Dec reminding Hancock he’s a sitting MP.’
This comes after body language expert Judi James revealed there seems to be signs of tension between Hancock and Ant…
Shortly after Hancock announced his plans to head Down Under, he had the whip withdrawn as he was suspended from the Conservative Party.
Hancock explained in his jungle announcement that he intends to take up to three weeks off work to appear on the show – which is filmed more than 10,000 miles away from his constituency.

He is paid more than £84,000 a year to represent his constituency of West Suffolk in the Commons, and has received more than £14,000 on top of that for extra writing and speaking engagements.
Famously, Hancock was the government’s Health Secretary from July 2018 to June 2021 – resigning shortly after CCTV was leaked showing him kissing his former aide Gina Coladangelo when social distancing measures were still in place.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues at 9pm on ITV.
