Norma Crow (Glynis Barber) broke down in Hollyoaks as she finally admitted the truth to both herself and son Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas), telling him that she loves him.
The ruthless gangster has made it quite clear that she believes caring for others is a weakness and has, thus far, shown little regret for giving Warren up when he was a baby.
As the weeks and months have passed, her facade has began to fade ever so slightly, as she bonded with her son, getting to know Warren for who he is.
There have a few occasions where Norma even showed glimmers of emotion when speaking to or about her son – not that she would ever admit such as thing!
Warren, who recently discovered that – without a liver transplant – he’s going to die, is determined to stay alive long enough to seek revenge on Norma for abandoning him in the children’s home.
Norma, however, offered to give him a piece of her liver, which ultimately took him by surprise. The hardened crime boss was determined to support her son in his hour of need and even moved in with him.
One moment in particular saw her adjust his blanket when she thought him to be asleep, which came as a surprise to Warren, as he speculated if she was starting to care about him.

Wednesday’s (December 14) first look offering of the Channel 4 soap gave us confirmation, after Warren ended up in hospital following a beating at the hands of a number of thugs.
Norma was horrified to hear of her son’s condition, and Grace Black (Tamara Wall) told her that it’s okay to show emotion towards those who she loves.
Despite her reservations, Norma paid her son a visit in his hospital room and, becoming emotional, she urged him to wake up, as she took his hand and told him she loves him.
