Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been invited to attend the Coronation of King Charles next year despite the ongoing fallout with the rest of the Royal Family.
Despite repeated calls for the Sussexes to be stripped of their royal titles following a series of allegations made against the palace in their recent Netflix documentary, it is believed the couple will still be invited to the May 6 coronation if they wish to attend.
Charles’ view on the matter is not believed to have changed despite the couple’s recent controversies, with the King wishing to retain the ‘dignity’ of silence and be dragged into an on-going battle of who gets the ‘last word’.
According to the Telegraph, the Sussexes have not yet received a formal invitation, but a source told the paper: ‘All members of the family will be welcome.’
Prince William is known to be closely involved in planning the ceremony but it is unknown whether Harry will play a formal role.
The palace has yet to respond to any of the claims made by Harry in the series, including reports the Prince of Wales ‘screamed and shouted’ at his brother following news of their royal departure and briefed the media against him.

In the latest episodes of their Netflix documentary, Harry claims he and Meghan were ‘institutionally gaslighted’ by the Royal family and will ‘never get a genuine apology’ for the way they were treated.
‘It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that weren’t true and my grandmother sit there quietly and take it all in,’ he says. ‘It was really hard.’
Meanwhile, Charles and Camilla are reportedly planning to throw the biggest royal christmas bash in five years, although the Sussexes are unlikely to receive an invite.
The event is expected to bring together all members of the so-called ‘loyal family’; including Camilla’s children, Zara Tindell, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their partners and young children.
Even Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are believed to have received an invite- despite the disgraced former Duke having been stripped of his titles following his involvement with convicted paedophiles Jeffery Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
A source at Sandringham Palace, where the Royals traditionally have spent Christmas, told The Sun: ‘Camilla is keen that her family are at the heart of Christmas, particularly as Charles won’t have his youngest son there.
‘It is an extremely important Christmas coming just months after they last all gathered for the Queen’s funeral.
‘During last Christmas the family were desperately trying to sort out Prince Andrew and his sex abuse case and then there was the incident with the intruder carrying a crossbow at Windsor Castle.
‘We saw the togetherness at the Princess of Wales’s carol concert this week and Christmas will be held in the same spirit.’
