Greta Thunberg has revealed her bizarre coping mechanisms during her long voyages, including when she sailed the Atlantic Ocean.
The climate activist was in stitches chatting comedian Russell Howard, as she opened up.
Between giggles, Greta explained on The Russell Howard Hour in an exclusive clip shared with Metro.co.uk: ‘When I was sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, I didn’t have much to do. So, I sat there and ate one bean at a time and then I, that became some kind of comfort food. So, when I’m stressed I eat beans one a time.’
‘This is phenomenal,’ Russell responded. ‘Why wasn’t that in Castaway with Tom Hanks?!’
‘It’s a good question, they should replace that volleyball,’ Greta reflected.
She added of how she relaxes: ‘I make frog hats…a friend of mine, Dylan. He, he wore a frog hat and then I was like, I want one of those. And then I started making them.’
Meanwhile, she went on to say of the horrific trolling she’s faced: ‘I can just go in there and just have free meme material…I share it with my friends and then I take credit for it. And they’re like, oh, where did you find that?’

Greta is well known for her climate activism, taking the stage at Glastonbury earlier this year.
She said the climate crisis is ‘not the new normal’ and that things will only get worse, although it’s not too late to ‘avoid the worst consequences’.
The Swedish campaigner told the crowd: ‘We are in the beginning of a climate and ecological emergency.
Greta called for ‘fundamental changes to our societies’ and ‘immediate drastic emissions reductions’ before it is too late.
She added: ‘The forces of greed and profit and planetary destruction are so powerful that our fight for the natural world is limited to a desperate struggle to avoid a total natural catastrophe.
‘We should be fighting for people and for nature, but instead we are fighting against those who are set on destroying it. Today, our political leaders are allowed to say one thing then do the exact opposite.’
The Russell Howard Hour airs on Sky Max and Now tonight at 10.30pm
