Chill out at Greggs this summer (Picture: Greggs)
It is positively sweltering here in the UK right now, which means we’re craving cold drinks and lots of them.
Greggs seems to have got the memo and answered our prayers, as the bakery chain has just launched an addition to its summer menu that’s perfect for beating the heat.
You can now get over-ice drinks alongside your sausage rolls, as Greggs’ new selection of refreshing, ice cold drinks is available from select shops (listed below) across the country.
Priced from just £2.40, there’s something for everyone among the six flavours: Cloudy Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, Mango Refresher, Iced Chocolate and Iced Mocha.

Both lemonade options feature tangy flavouring poured over ice, while the Mango Refresher is made with mango purée and topped with semi-skimmed milk before being served over ice.
The new Iced Chocolate flavoured drinks are made with Fairtrade cocoa powder and, you guessed it, poured over ice. They’re then topped with cream and sprinkles of chocolate powder.
If you prefer a caffeine hit, the Iced Mocha is made with a shot of freshly ground Fairtrade coffee, blended with semi-skimmed milk and Fairtrade cocoa powder, then topped with cream and a chocolate powder dusting.

The drinks are among a number of fresh introductions for Greggs. Proving its cult status as a brand, a Greggs-themed clothing collection at Primark sold out almost instantly earlier this year.
Last month, the menu also got a lighter update in the form of flatbread sandwiches, with vegan alternatives and plant-based innovations proving popular.
Greggs chief executive, Roisin Currie, told PA Media that customers have been ‘loving the versatility’ of the revamped menu.
She commented: ‘It’s all about offering that choice, so people can come in more frequently.
‘They can come in time and time again and try lots of different things, as well as the favourites that they love.’
Just what we’re after in this weather.
