Gary Barlow has singled out hamburgers as his dream meal whilst also revealing he’s not touched one in over a decade.
The Take That singer was appearing on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen when he was asked to conjure up his idea of ‘food heaven’.
After thinking about what dish he wanted, Gary, 52, revealed his pick, and it sparked an interesting exchange.
‘The food heaven is something I can remember the last time I had it was 2009,’ he said.
‘I don’t eat hamburgers very often but I love them so much.
‘It’s a big treat.’

There was unsurprisingly some shocked reactions, with questions then arising as to why he’d deny himself.
When asked if it was due to being ‘disciplined’, he replied: ‘I try to be.’
Joking with presenter and wine expert Olly Smith, Gary said that they had ‘daily fitness conversations’ and was ‘challenged’.
But he then went into detail of exactly what he’d like his dream hamburger to include.
‘The food heaven for me is an ultimate hamburger with everything on, great bun, great beef with shoestring fries, condiments mayonnaise (and) ketchup, lightly pan-fried red onions, cheese, gorgeous,’ he said.

With such great detail, it was pretty obvious he’s been dreaming about the dish for years.
But when asked to choose his ‘food hell’, Gary hit out at haggis.
‘I’m already worried because I feel like the people of Scotland are taking offence, but it’s not that,’ he began.
‘A lot of my friends are Scottish, I love playing gigs in Scotland, it’s not an attack on Scotland. It’s haggis, I hate it.
‘I taste it for about two weeks once I’ve eaten it. Not good.’
Making the admission was a risky move though, because when it came to the end of the episode, he had to dig in.
The public weren’t feeling too charitable and picked him to eat the savoury pudding, which was served as a kofta.
Despite its timeslot, things can sometimes get a bit crazy on the cooking programme, which has made for countless hilarious moments in recent months.
From Alison Roman falling off a stool before a wine tasting even began to an historic X-rated slang word being used live, there’s no shortage of funny moments each week.
Saturday Kitchen next airs at 10am on Saturday on BBC One and is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
