“I want to be able to get married and have a baby”
“I want to be able to get married and have a baby,” Spears said. “I have an IUD inside of myself so that I don’t get pregnant, but [my team doesn’t] want me to have any more children.”
Additionally, Spears noted the amount of time she spends in therapy: “They have me going to therapy three times a week and to a psychiatrist,” saying that she was made to visit a facility in Westlake, California, where her team allegedly knew paparazzi would be present to take unflattering photographs.
“I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive. I don’t feel like I can live a full life. In the meantime, I want this therapist to come to my home, I’m not willing to go to Westlake… They set me up by sending me to the most exposed places. I need your help.”
Britney Spears speaks to the court: “I just want my life back”
Speaking to the Judge, Britney Spears gave a stunning statement around her conservatorship.
“I am not happy, I can’t sleep. I’m so angry, it’s insane. And I’m depressed,” she said.
“My dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, including my management … they should be in jail.”
“The last time I spoke to you [the judge] … made me feel like I was dead. I am telling you again because I am not lying … so maybe you can understand the depth and the degree and the damages … I deserve changes.”
On why she didn’t tell the public about how she felt, Spears said, “I honestly don’t think anyone would believe me. I thought people would make fun of me. I’m just want my life back. It’s enough.”
“All I would honestly like to sue my family [and] share my story with the world.”
Ultimately, Spears seeks to end her conservatorship without being evaluated by medical professionals, saying, she has “done enough”.
Britney’s attorney Samuel Ingham introduces his client for the Special Status Hearing.
“My client is free to discuss any aspect of the conservatorship that she wishes and is welcome to say whatever she likes,” he said. “For the record, I would like to state that I have not in any way attempted to control, filter or edit anything she has to say today.”
