Las Vegas gigs: What’s going on with Adele?
British pop star broke American hearts when she announced she’d be postponing her Las Vegas gigs – are they cancelled for good?
The British pop star broke American hearts when she announced she’d be postponing her Las Vegas gigs – less than 25 hours before the first gig was set to kick off. She blamed Covid for delaying her and said her show wasn’t ready. In a tearful Instagram video, she said all money would be refunded and the dates would be rescheduled.
But now there are reports that her prime slot in Las Vegas has been filled by Kieth Urban and she won’t be playing any gigs before the summer – amid claims her team were a nightmare to work with.
Her Las Vegas residency – called Weekends With Adele – was supposed to be her glorious return to live music, after dropping her mega-hit album 30 and returning to the spotlight – via an Oprah interview.
According to the Mirror, the new dates for Keith’s shows are March 25, 26 and 30 as well as April 1 to 2 – the same dates she had.
The report claims Adele’s fans are worried she will never perform her Las Vegas residency, like her London dates in 2017 that were supposed to be rescheduled but never were.
Recent reports suggest her stage set has been removed from Caesars Palace where her multi-million pound run of concerts were set to take place.
There have been reports from Vegas that the popstar’s team were a nightmare to work with, according to the Sun, and rehearsals were filled with “tears and tantrums.”
All dates will be rescheduled

According to a source who spoke to the Sun – Adele clashed with designer Esmeralda Devlin over the stage production and her team demanded an overhaul of sound and video systems.
A source said: “In spite of the set costing millions to put together, Adele was unhappy with the result, and she made her feelings very clear to Es.
“She was already nervous and the falling-out sent her spiralling into a panic because she was desperate that everything should be perfect.”
The Sun said Adele cancelled her residency, not because of Covid-related delays – but instead after launching into a furious rant over a swimming pool stun planned for the shows. She was supposed to stand in the middle of one whilst singing – but likened the final design to an “old pond” and refused.
Meanwhile, the singer is set to make an appearance, via video link., at the Brit Awards next month. The Brit award organisers are said to have hoped she would attend in person, seeing it as a blow to the event.
Adele’s up against fellow Brit Ed Sheeran for two of the biggest awards – Best Album and Best Artist.
The source went on to claim she has chosen not to attend the Brits in person ‘in a bid to repair the PR damage from the shock cancellations.’
