Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver has reportedly signed a new ‘big-money’ deal to stay on the ITV soap.
The actress, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, ‘didn’t hesitate’, according to sources, when it came to signing on the dotted line.
‘Bosses were so pleased,’ an insider told The Sun. ‘She’s a soap legend and they’re really happy she returned to the cobbles after I’m A Celebrity.
‘The show wouldn’t be the same without her.’

Sue has played Eileen for 23 years, having made her cobbles debut all the way back in 2000.
Eileen has become a much-loved character, featuring in numerous storylines over the years, including supporting son Todd in coming out as gay, to getting caught up in serial killer Pat Phelan’s wicked plots.
The character’s on-and-off rivalry with Gail Platt (Helen Worth) has also provided us with many an iconic moment!

Sue, meanwhile, took a break from the long-running serial drama last year to compete in the latest series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
The 59-year-old recently discussed taking HRT (hormone replacement therapy), remarking on the positive boost of energy it’s given her.

She also credited HRT in helping change her attitude towards taking part in the show.
‘I always said I’d never do the jungle – I did it, I loved it, it’s given me a great confidence, it’s given be a big boost and I want lots more adventures.,’ the soap star said on This Morning.
‘I feel like a completely different person to myself, I’m just raring to go! This is my decade. This is for me,’ she added.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
