EastEnders star Zack Morris has been speaking about his decision to leave the soap.
The actor portrayed Keegan Baker in the show. He’s the son of Karen (Lorraine Stanley) and partner to Tiffany (Maisie Smith) and made his arrival in 2017.
Last year, after the truth about Chantelle’s (Jessica Plummer) death was revealed during Gray’s (Toby-Alexander Smith) final storyline, Keegan decided to leave Albert Square, reuniting with Tiff after a difficult period in their relationship.
A few months after the departure, Zack announced that he had been cast in a major US Disney+ series called Goosebumps.
Starring alongside famous faces including Will Price and Isa Briones, Zack plays the role of Isaiah. He is described as a ‘popular star football player’, with financial issues at home meaning his family are ‘banking on his athleticism to secure him a full ride to college’.
Influenced by the Goosebumps books, the series follows a group of high school students who must work together after unleashing supernatural forces in their town.
With a huge responsibility on their shoulders, the friends must also tackle past rivalries with each other and developing friendships, all while learning about each other’s secrets.

As his career continues to develop, Zack has now opened up about saying goodbye to EastEnders, revealing that the soap was the perfect ‘training ground’ to develop his craft.
‘It was definitely not an overnight decision. I had the backing of my team – my UK agent and my US management. We had a lot of talks about when was the right time’, he told RTE.

‘Ultimately, EastEnders was the perfect training ground for myself. It was the perfect place for me to gain exposure in the industry, and also get a feel, essentially, for what every little part of the industry was going to be – be that working on set long hours, be that script changes, the everyday life of a working actor, dealing with the media, being in the limelight.
‘All that stuff that’s valuable going forward.’
Elsewhere, Zack’s co-star, Maisie, is swapping television for film in her new role.
The actress is set to appear in gangster flick Bermondsey Tales: Fall Of The Roman Empire.
Maisie, 21, will star as Chloe, who is reported to be a leading player in a mobster family.
She will appear in the film alongside the likes of Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels’ actor Alan Ford and Kidulthood’s Adam Deacon.
His final scenes aired last year.Â
