Davood played Eli in Holby City, months before it ended for good (Picture: BBC)
Former EastEnders, Holby City star and all-round legend Davood Ghadami has spent time in Devon for his brand new TV role.
The actor, who played Kush Kazemi in the BBC One soap, and then Doctor Eli Ebrahimi in Holby City just months before it was axed for good, will appear in an episode of Beyond Paradise.
This brand new BBC One show is a spin of to Death in Paradise, which currently follows DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little) and his team as they attempt to solve mysteries and murders.
Beyond Paradise will focus on former lead detective Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and Martha Lloyd (Sally Bretton), who are now living in Shipton Abbot along the Devonshire coast.
Currently living with Martha’s mother, Humphrey will join the local police force and make quite the impression of the team, while Martha will set out to pursue her dream of running her own restaurant.
The show will air at the end of February (Picture: BBC)
Each week, the team will face a new crime with a unique puzzle at its heart. Stories include an entire family disappearing without a trace, a woman claiming she was attacked by someone from the 17th century, a painting robbery, a body found in a crop circle and a serial arsonist with a distaste for a local business.
Sounds intriguing!
Just like Death in Paradise, Beyond Paradise will welcome a whole load of famous faces for the guest roles – and this is where Davood comes in.
While we don’t know what role Davood will be playing, his character can be seen in a suit and shirt, suggesting he’s maybe a man with a bit of money in his pocket.
Other guest stars include Davood’s Holby co-star, Jaye Jacobs, Samantha Spiro and Rufus Jones.
