Drag Race has seen plenty of unmissable moments over the years, but Victoria Scone has made herstory yet again after proposing on the show.
The British drag queen, who became the first cisgender female contestant on any series after competing on the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK last year, popped the question to her partner, albeit from afar, on Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World.
During the finale episode of the series, which was released on Saturday, Victoria was speaking to the panel of judges when she reflected on her journey before making the announcement.
‘When I left my previous season, I thought I had let down the whole world as well as myself, and I stand here now so happy with what I’ve done, and I wouldn’t change a single second,’ she said.
‘If I could get down on two knees and beg for it, I would, but I want to get down on one knee for a different reason.
‘I would like to propose to my girlfriend, Dani, because I wouldn’t be here, now, if it wasn’t for her. She is the better half of me, and I couldn’t have done this without her. So, Dani, we’re probably watching this together right now. Will you marry me?’

As her sisters smiled on, and Queen Ra’Jah O’Hara urged Dani to ‘say yes’, RuPaul jumped in to say it was ‘the first proposal in Drag Race herstory’.
Later on backstage, all of the Queens from this season gathered, with Reverend Doctor Silky Nutmeg Ganache offering to oversee their ceremony.
‘I am ordained, and I can’t wait to officiate, bitch,’ she told Victoria, who invited them all to the wedding.

Speaking in a confessional, Victoria added: ‘I adore Dani. She just fits me so perfectly, so I liked it, and I put a ring on it.’
While we didn’t get to hear an answer from Dani right away, Queen Kendall Gender posted a photo of the group all watching the episode on stage in front of a live audience last night, with Dani right there too as the clip was played.

Walking to the middle of the stage and getting down on one knee, Victoria proposed in person as Dani said yes and the crowd cheered.
While this proposal was something that had never been seen on the show before, Joslyn Fox previously got married on the sixth season of the American series in 2014, which saw Ru officiate.

Despite being in the running for the crown, Victoria ultimately missed out, with the title going to American Queen Ra’Jah.
This spin-off series was the second edition that featured queens from numerous international versions of the competition, this time from America, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
