Kimberly Guilfoyle doesn’t have any previous diplomatic experience: Nevertheless, Donald Trump wants to send his son’s (possibly still-) fiancée to Athens as ambassador.

Hardly a day goes by these days without Donald Trump making a name for himself with a more or less bizarre appointment for his future government. The focus is sometimes more and sometimes less on the qualifications for the job. Now the US president-elect wants to appoint former Fox News presenter Kimberly Guilfoyle as US ambassador to Greece.

The 55-year-old also came into the spotlight as the fiancée of Trump’s eldest son Don Jr. (46). According to US media reports, the two recently separated. Guilfoyle is a prominent figure on the American right and supported Trump during the election campaign. The appointment must be confirmed by the US Senate.
