Doctor Who has dropped a nail-biting trailer for its upcoming 60th-anniversary specials, which features a starry cast from Neil Patrick Harris to David Tennant.
The three episodes will air in November 2023 before Ncuti Gatwa, 30, takes control of the TARDIS over the festive season.
It will see Inside Man star David, 51, back as the Time Lord, making him the 14th incarnation, with Catherine Tate also returning as companion Donna Noble.
And sci-fi fans have been given a taste of what to come, with a minute-long trailer airing after the Strictly Christmas special on December 25.
Panning over the River Thames, the clip opens with a worried Donna announcing: ‘Sometimes I think there is something missing. Like I had something lovely and it has gone.’
The Broadchurch actor, looking confused, then strolls out of the TARDIS into a busy street, lamenting: ‘I don’t know who I am anymore.’
How I Met Your Mother star Neil, meanwhile, looked eerie in a mime outfit waving creepily, before transforming into what could be a circus master, complete with German accent.
Other explosive scenes include a car being blown up, a terrifying monster clomping its jaws and a shoot-out on a suburban street.

As alien robots appear to invade the UK, David warns: ‘If she ever remembers me she will die’ with the clip ending on the new Doctor Ncuti shocked by the chaos he is entering.
He demands: ‘Someone tell me what the hell is going on here?’
Doctor Who will return to the BBC in November 2023.
