Danny Dyer is confident he won’t need the money and have to make his way back to EastEnders in the future.
The actor, who played Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter, appeared in his final scenes on Christmas Day and was seemingly killed off.
After tying the knot with Janine (Charlie Brooks) earlier in the week, Mick soon discovered his new wife’s manipulative and scheming nature with a lie she concocted against his ex-wife and true soulmate Linda (Kellie Bright).
The episode came to an end with a confrontation between the trio that saw their car plunge off a cliff in Dover and Mick apparently swept out to sea.
Fans have suspicions Mick isn’t really dead and will return to Albert Square one day, but Danny seems pretty certain that this is the end for his popular character.
‘I don’t want to come back,’ Danny, 45, said on The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan on Tuesday.

When Mo reminded him of Leslie Grantham’s iconic return as Dirty Den despite the character also being killed off, Danny joked of the late actor who died in 2018: ‘He was skint, he needed to come back. The geezer was on his arse. I don’t fancy it, Mo. I’ve done over 1,000 episodes.’
Viewers have been busy dreaming up ways in which Danny can return to the square, with one tweeting: ‘Give it a few years and Linda will be on holiday in a costal town. Her and Mick’s eyes will meet. She will be stunned into silence. His amnesia still holds strong… for now…’
Another quipped: ‘I know they don’t usually fake deaths on British soaps but I am choosing to believe an amnesia Mick is going to wash ashore in some French village.’
One other soap fan wrote: ‘Mick’s not dead. In 5 years time, he will return like Harold Bishop. It’ll be explained he was swept out to sea, picked up by a trawler, and now has amnesia and calls himself Ted.’
