Harry and Meghan: Much to discuss on move, says Canada’s Trudeau
BBC News reports further talks are needed over Prince Harry and Meghan’s move to Canada, the Canadian prime minister has said.
Justin Trudeau said the shape and costs of the plans are still to be discussed.
The Queen has agreed to a “period of transition” in which Harry and Meghan will spend time in Canada and the UK.
The Queen said, in a remarkably candid and informal statement, that she was “entirely supportive” of their desire for a new role but “would have preferred” them to remain full-time working royals.

An 11-year-old in Mexico told some of his classmates ‘today is the day’. Then opened fire.
CNN reports an 11-year-old, armed with two guns, opened fire at a private school in the northern Mexican state of Coahuila, officials say. A teacher was killed and six other people injured.
Officials confirmed the shooter, a sixth-grader, also died.
Classmates said the boy was generally well behaved but voiced a strange warning before his rampage. He reportedly told classmates ‘today is the day’.
Shortly after 8 am, the student asked to use the restroom. After about 15 minutes the teacher went to look for him. And found him leaving the restroom with weapons in hand.
Authorities believe the boy was influenced by the video game Natural Selection.

US officials brand possible Huawei 5G rollout in the UK ‘act of madness’ as MI5 plays-down US fear-mongering
RT News says in a bid to pressure the UK into barring Huawei from Britain’s 5G rollout, US officials reportedly went as far as to imply that allowing it on the market would be “madness”. However, a UK spy chief has damped fears.
A team of high-ranking US officials were set to present supposedly damning evidence to the UK government on Monday. They say the equipment supplied by the Chinese company may come with hidden ‘backdoors’ granting Beijing access to critical British infrastructure.
Washington has long tried to persuade London to shun the Chinese tech.
