LEBANESE PROTESTERS REJECT THE PRESIDENT’S APPEAL FOR TALKS
Aljazeera reports protesters in Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, have rejected President Michel Aoun’s call for dialogue, demanding the government’s resignation before any such talks.
On Thursday, Anon said he was willing to meet demonstrators who have been taking to the streets calling for Lebanon’s post-civil war leadership to be held accountable for years of corruption and economic mismanagement.

TRUMP SUGGESTS KURDS RELOCATE AS U.S CONSIDERS DEPLOYING ARMOURED VEHICLES TO PROTECT OIL FIELDS
CNN says President Trump tweeted Thursday that the US military would continue securing oil fields in Syria. And suggested that America’s former allies against ISIS, the Syrian Kurds, should consider relocating. Trump suggested they move from their traditional homeland to the region, hundreds of miles away, that houses those oil fields.
His tweet came after two defence officials told CNN the US is considering plans to deploy tanks to Syria for the first time. Other officials said it is possible that lighter-weight armoured vehicles could be sent instead. Because tanks can require a large number of troops to operate.

Despite heavy winds causing safety concerns and delaying the tourists climb, they were soon allowed to head up the rock.

BBC News reports EU ambassadors are to meet to discuss what length of Brexit extension to offer the UK. Whilst MPs are considering the prime minister’s call for an early election.
It is believed most EU states are in favour of a three-month delay, with the option to end earlier if a deal comes forward sooner than the deadline.
Boris has said he would give MPs more time to debate his Brexit deal if they backed a 12 December poll. The government plans to bring forward a Commons vote on an early general election on Monday if the EU offers a delay until January, as is widely expected.

EXTINCTION REBELLION: MET POLICE’S LONDON-WIDE BAN ON PROTESTS WAS UNLAWFUL, COURT HEARS
The Independent says the Metropolitan Police’s London-wide ban on Extinction Rebellion (XR) protests was “an abuse of power,” High Court judges have heard.
Scotland Yard imposed a blanket ban across the capital last week, after XR’s “autumn uprising” action shut down areas around parliament and the Bank of England.
The ban means any assembly of more than two people linked to the action – which ended on Saturday – was illegal.
