We need to talk about Stacey Solomon’s adorable DIY present for her daughter Rose.
The Loose Women star got painting and drilling this week in order to prepare a sweet surprise for her daughter with 40-year-old Joe Swash, Rose, one, ahead of Christmas Day.
Sharing with her followers of Rose’s love of 33-year-old Stacey’s vanity, the presenter got to work creating one for her daughter to use, albeit a lot smaller and using empty compacts of Stacey’s, as well as old brushes.
In a sweet video posted to her Instagram this week, DIY queen Stacey got to work, painting a small desk baby pink, and popping floral contact sheets for a spot of flair.
Stacey, who has become known for her upcycling and DIY prowess, shared her pride in her work and insisted she’ll come back after Christmas Day to share with her followers Rose’s reaction to seeing her new tools.
The star wrote: ‘I decided to make Rose’s Christmas present this year and I’m so proud of it… She’s obsessed with my make up, brushes and sitting at my dressing table pulling the drawers out and looking at everything.
‘So I saved all of my empties & washed her up my spare brushes & made her her very own dressing table from a drawer shelf…
‘Now we can get ready together and she has her very own versions of mummy’s things 😭 I will probably hide the empty perfume from her but it looked nice for the video 😂
‘Also I might cut the legs down they were spare from an ikea flat pack so they’re a bit tall 😂.’

Honestly, it’s making us rethink that gift certificate we got for our family…
Stacey has well and truly been in the Christmas spirit for some time now, shocking fans when she put up her tree a tad earlier than the rest of us. Six weeks in advance, if you were wondering…
The former X Factor star shared a comment from a fan which read: ‘Please tell me that’s a Christmas tree,’ responding: ‘Your messages are cracking me up! Yes that was a Christmas tree in the background of my last video but I promise I haven’t started decorating yet…
‘I put it up because I really want to forage Christmas this year.’
She added: ‘I want to try and make all of my decorations out of things I already have & things I can find in the garden (or someone else’s garden).
‘Because I love making stuff so so much & I’ve collected so much over the years it seems a waste to buy anything new but it is nice to change a little each year.’
The mum-of-four revealed that she would be ‘foraging’ things from decorations she already has to beat the expense of buying new things every year and to have ‘less pressure’ on her decorations.
Stacey later revealed that she ‘couldn’t help herself’ and had started constructing a new tree with pieces of ‘bush’ she had foraged.
She explained: ‘After I showed you I started, couldn’t resist. This is as far as Farmer Scott’s bush got me so I reckon I’ll need to find another bush or two.
‘And also maybe use whatever I have already in the house to create a good shape… If any of you are thinking of adding these or any stems to bush out a tree start foraging now.’
Not sure why punters were surprised, after she similarly started on her festive decorations at Pickle Cottage seven weeks ahead of Christmas Day last year.
