Acting legend Colin Salmon has confirmed when his first episode of EastEnders will air.
The TV icon will soon make his arrival as George Knight, partner to Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) – who is Linda’s (Kellie Bright) mum.
Arriving with George will also be his two daughters, Anna and Gina (Molly Rainford and Francesca Henry) and previously, discussing his new role, Colin said that he’s ‘excited to explore the character of George, a true East End gentleman having been born in the East End myself.’
We’ve already seen the arrival of Elaine, who recently burst into the Queen Vic to announce herself as the new co-owner, which came after Mick’s (Danny Dyer) disappearance at Christmas.
This caused drama for Nish (Navin Chowdhry), Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and Sharon (Letitia Dean), who were all under the impression they stood a chance of becoming Linda’s new business partner.

With Elaine getting settled into her new life in Albert Square, it won’t be long until George, Gina and Anna arrive, as Colin recently confirmed via a tweet that their first episode will air on June 1.
‘The arrival of the Knights brings a new dawn to Albert Square,’ enthused show boss Chris Clenshaw.
‘George Knight is a charming rogue and an old-school gent who dotes on his two daughters, Gina and Anna. George will take up residence in The Queen Vic when he joins his beloved Elaine, a powerhouse of a land-lady who knows just how to have fun.
‘The couple will be joined by feisty, determined and demanding Gina, who is as sharp and cool as cut diamonds but with a temper that blazes like fire, whereas younger sister, Anna is fun, loveable, and big-hearted, but don’t underestimate her.
‘George, Gina and Anna have been bound together for years and arriving in Walford is the fresh-start the Knights are looking for.
