Chicago mass shooting – At least two dead after 10 people shot in violent assault outside a McDonald’s

The Sun says AT least two people are dead and eight have been injured after a shooting in Chicago.

Gunfire erupted near the Chicago Avenue subway station and a McDonald’s restaurant just after 10:40pm local time on Thursday.

Tom Ahern, of the Chicago Police Department, said two victims have died and 10 people in total have been shot.

Those who were injured are in a serious-to-critical condition in hospital.

One person suffered burns after reportedly being injured on the Red Line subway line, a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson told the Tribune.

A witness said the victim was partially clothed and suffered injuries to her back.
