An explosion has ripped through a property in London in the early hour of this morning, it has been reported.
Four fire crews from Bexley, Plumstead and surrounding stations were called to battle the well-developed fire on Lower Road in Belvedere.
Firefighters scrambled to the scene around 1am after reports of a powerful blast at the bungalow, which is understood to have been unoccupied.
A number of people have been evacuated from nearby properties, while officers from the Metropolitan Police closed a number of roads in the area.
Pictures from the scene show the fire had spread and engulfed the roof.
